Crowned Miss Nepal in 2000, there’s more to Usha Khadgi than meets the eye. From modeling to VJing to currently running her own boutique ‘UR Stylish’, this supermom of two adorable kids does everything with panache. Born and raised in Birgunj, she made a name for herself and maintained it all on her own.Here she shares five things that many may not know about herWhen the news of Usha Khadgi opening her own boutique started making rounds, many people were surprised. But her love for designing was not a new found hobby. “I discovered my love for sketching when I was in Class XI. This inspired me to take up fashion design course in 2004 where I was able to polish that skill,” she says. Most of the dresses in her boutique today are designed by her. “Besides designing dresses, I also draw landscapes. It allows me to be imaginative and it’s one of my favorite stress busters. I sometimes do portrait too, but I don’t enjoy it as much. The only portrait I can be proud of is that of my five-year-old daughter. It’s beautiful,” she says. -
